Instructor photos to appear with class information in myWSU

WSU’s Enterprise Systems Group and the Office of the Provost are pleased to announce that starting this month, all instructor photos will display within class details in myWSU and the myWSU Campus Mobile app.

This new feature will provide a photo of the instructor for each course on the class detail page. The photo displayed is the same as the one used for Cougar Cards.

The displayed photos are intended to help students familiarize themselves with instructors. Student photos were activated in myWSU last year to foster familiarity between instructors and students.

Both instructors and students have the opportunity to restrict their photo and not have it displayed in myWSU. Instructors can make this change by selecting the Self Service menu, navigating to Campus Personal Information, then to the Instructor Contact Restriction page, and checking the box to restrict their photo. See the screenshots below for step-by-step instructions.

For technical assistance, please email enterprise.systems@wsu.edu.
