Review process added to Seed Grant RFP Guidelines

We appreciate the enthusiasm for and suggestions coming forward regarding the RFP process for the Student Success Seed Grants and the Grand Challenges Seed Grants. Based on the input gathered, we have added a preliminary review process to the Letter of Intent submission phase.

This change will result in principal investigators including a brief narrative about the proposed project, that addresses 1) the purpose, 2) primary goals, 3) anticipated outcomes, and 4) anticipated total (not itemized) cost for the project. The narrative should be a maximum of one page, single spaced, 12 point font.

This additional step will enable reviewers to evaluate the relative likelihood that a project could receive funding.  PIs of proposals identified as among the most promising will be encouraged to develop full proposals. A web-based form will be available on the seed grant RFP sites for submission of letters of intent.

Letters of Intent for Student Success Seed Grants must be submitted by Feb. 15 using the web-based form located on the seed grant RFP site (teach.wsu.edu/seed-grants). Questions may be sent to StudSuccSeedGrant@wsu.edu with “Student Success Seed Grant Program 2016” in the subject line.

Letters of Intent for Grand Challenges Seed Grants must be submitted by Feb. 15 using the web-based form located on the seed grant RFP site. Questions may be sent to res.dev@wsu.edu with “Grand Challenges Seed Grant Program 2016” in the subject line.
