Register for spring’s Teaching Innovation Forum

The Office of Academic Outreach and Innovation will host the Teaching Innovation Forum on February 20 in CUE 518 and 512.

The forum will run from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and includes a networking lunch, courtesy of AOI. WSU faculty will present on: “Teaching International Students,” “Backward Redesign of Courses,” “How to Engage Students Using the Experiential Learning Model,” and, “Teaching and Learning with Concept Maps.”

Faculty Led Workshop looks at effective use of clickers

Professors Sola Adesope and Nat Hunsu will discuss the effective use of clickers in classrooms at the final Faculty Led Workshop of the semester. The workshop will be held Dec. 15 from noon to 1 p.m. in CUE 518.

Adesope and Hunsu’s workshop is entitled, “A Meta-Analysis of the Effects of Clickers on Learning,” and addresses studies on the impacts of clickers on learning. They will discuss the different conditions under which clickers facilitated (or inhibited) learning.
