Announcing Affordable Learning Grants ($1,000-$5,000)
In response to student concerns about course material costs, Washington State University is working to support instructors who wish to transition away from expensive commercial textbooks and instead explore new curricular strategies. In summer 2017, WSU Libraries in partnership with Academic Outreach and Innovation (AOI) will provide support to instructors who wish to replace costly commercial textbooks with high-quality, low-cost open educational resources (OERs). Our aim is to assist instructors in thinking creatively about class materials that might be used to improve student success at WSU.
Call for Proposals
We invite WSU instructors and faculty members to apply for Affordable Learning Grants to offset the time and expense required to implement open educational resources in classes. All grant recipients will receive assistance from WSU Libraries and AOI in locating, adopting, modifying, and implementing OERs for use in the 2017-2018 academic year.
