August 2025 marked our inaugural new faculty teaching bootcamp. The week-long series of half-day workshops introduces new faculty to course design principles from the Teaching Toolkit, explores teaching-related policies and resources at WSU, and connects participants with a community dedicated to reflective teaching.
Following the week-long workshops, members of WSU Teaching Academy held office hours to provide on-demand support as faculty preparing for fall teaching. Just-in-time workshops were offered throughout fall semester covering topics such as practical tips for using Canvas, how to enter mid-semester grades, and finishing the semester strong.
