Teacher Roles and Students’ Perceptions

Presenter: Dr. Jeremiah Grissett
Location: WSU Pullman ADBF 2020/2018 & via Zoom

Every teacher and instructor has their styles and approaches to teaching. This is often developed over time and honed via trial and error. However, sometimes our positive intentions as a teacher are misinterpreted by students, and our intentions don’t match their perceptions of us.

Come to discuss roles and approaches to teaching, learn how students’ perceptions about teachers are formed, and explore how to respond when students’ perceptions don’t match our intended role and approach to teaching.
