Using the WSU Course Template

Below are instructions for using the WSU Course Template in your Canvas course. Import the template into a blank course shell before adding or importing any course content. If your course already contains content, be aware that importing the template will overwrite information in the Syllabus.

To import the template

  1. Open the WSU Course Template in the Canvas Commons to begin the import process.
  2. In the Canvas Commons, select Import/Download from the right sidebar.
  3. Select the checkbox next to the course where you want to import the template, then select Import into Course.
  4. A confirmation message will appear indicating that the import has started. Depending on the size of the course, the import process may take several minutes to complete.
